“Aquaculture Studies” is the successor to the “Yunus Research Bulletin (Yunus Araştırma Bülteni). On the basis of the experience and strengths of its predecessor, Aquaculture Studies has been developed to create a truly international forum for the communication of research in aquaculture science.

Aquaculture Studies is accepted into Scopus

Aquaculture Studies, a peer-reviewed, open access journal from Central Fisheries Research Institute (SUMAE) that publishes original research and review articles in an interactive, open access format is now accepted into a recognized as one of the top research indexes, Scopus — which describes itself as a “source-neutral abstract and citation database curated by independent subject-matter experts” — from 2018 to present.

SOFAS 2022 Dates are Announced!

International Symposium on Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (SOFAS) set to be held from 25 to 27 October, 2022 at the SUMAE National GeneBank Conference Hall. The theme of the symposium is "Aquatic Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture" and details on submission and participation are detailed at the symposium webpage at sofas.gov.tr.

Changes to the number of issues published per annum

Aquaculture Studies moved to a continuous publication model in 2018. Issues were/are being built gradually, with articles being added to the contents list as soon as they were/are ready. Upon completition of the issue (around the 1st and 15th day of each quarter), we close the issue and any new articles placed in the next issue. Starting with this issue (Volume:23 Issue:1) we will be publishing six issues (January, March, May, July, September and November) per annum. The March issue is scheduled to carry our special issue "Novel Approaches on Feed Ingredients and Additives In Aquaculture" articles.
