The monitoring study was performed in three sampling points of litoral zone between April 2011 and March 2012. Temperature, dissolved oxygen, saturation, pH, electrical conductivity, hardness, alkalinity, chemical oxygen demand, dissolved ions (lithium, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, nitrate, fluoride, phosphate, chloride, bromide, sulphate) and total phosphorus was measured and determined during the study. Iþýktepe Dam Lake characterized with mildly soft and alkaline water, along with a low electrical conductivity and dissolved solids due to low dissolved ions contents. The dam lake was defined as high quality and slightly polluted, respectively, in point of A and B group parameters of Surface Water Quality Management Regulation. It means that this irrigation-purposed dam lake may also used for drinking water supply, trout culture, livestock farms. Keywords : Işıktepe Dam Lake, littoral zone, water quality, temporal variation
