Effect of Hazelnut Meal on Angel Fish (Pterophyllum salare) Juveniles Growth Performance and Survival Rate
The experimental results showed that the best weight gain and specific growth rate were found for control and 15% hazelnut meal diets. These data were reduced after 15% hazelnut meal replacement levels. Feed conversion ratio and protein efficiency ratio were significantly deteriorated after 35% hazelnut meal replacement levels. Condition factor, 15% external to the group (P<0.05) differences were not significant. Survival rate ranged between 93.1 (0% HM I.Grup) and 79.9% (35% HM IV.Grup), and external to two group (P<0.05) differences were not significant.
As a result, with the addition of 15% hazelnut meal in rations of angel fish fry optimum growth was realized and the increase of hazelnut meal in feed have positively affected economic performance.
