¹ Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Deniz Bilimleri ve Teknolojisi Fakültesi, 31200 Ýskenderun, Hatay DOI : 10.17693/yunusae.v2014i21954.235728 Viewed : 3287 - Downloaded : 2404 In this study, the environmental conditions of Potamida littoralis (Cuvier, 1798), Leguminaia wheatleyi (Lea, 1862) and Anodonta pseudodopsis (Locard, 1883) was determined located in the lake.Certain water quality parameters of the lake[Magnesium, nitrite(NO2), nitrate(NO3), suspended solids, ammonia(NH3), phosphate(PO4), calcium,Biological Oxygen DemandandChemical Oxygen Demand], aquatic plants and plankter were examined in the lake Gölbası.Mussels prefer to live in the sediment of the lake. Thus, the structure of the sediment of the lake was investigated for mussels habitat. Keywords : Fresh water mussels, water quality, plankton, sediment, mussels foot tissue
